Ringing in the New Year

Happy New Year

We started off 2012 with a banger when my 80 year old mother came down with pneumonia. After spending 8 days in the hospital she is home & slowly recovering.

Big bro hit the BIG 50 on the 5th. I can't tell you how delighted he was. You'd think he was 150 instead of 50. I keep telling him if he has to grow older him might as well reek the benefits. At least now he can join AARP... ha.

2012 has brought additional aches & pains for me. So I'm guessing I'm right up there with old Steve in the 150 age thing. Unfortunately, I don't get the benefits 'cos I'm just middle-aged not half a century. ;)

Time is a ticking... scratching my head & wondering what's next. Hum... guess that would be my 48th Valentine's Day. Oh geez, at least no one will be pinching me for not wearing green. LOL

Here's hoping 2012 is more merry than not. Happy New Year to all!

Time Keeps on Slipping

This month marked the one year anniversary of my father's death & what would have been his 76th birthday. It is hard to believe life has slipped by & it is now 47 years down the road for me. My time with my father has passed & I miss his presence. My comfort comes in knowing that one day we shall be together again. I thank God for this.

For those of you who still have your parents... cherish this time for it will be gone before you know it. If you have kids... do the same. Life is shorter than you think & very precious.

Time is slipping by... now go out & engulf it with all your hearts!

I love July not only because of the 4th, but also because it's my birthday month. I always feel particularly festive and proud. So I decided to do a layout about a visit to the Statue of Liberty. Here I am with my mom posed with the Lady herself.
